A magical archive
Drawings, documents, telegrams, letters, calculations, airline tickets, detailed travel plans, transcripts of intercontinental phone calls, thousands of photographs of the work site and of the newly completed and furnished building: all the phases of the Embassy’s project are preserved, in the two collections that make up Pier Luigi Nervi’s archive, at the MAXXI in Rome and at the CSAC in Parma.
And today the archive, as if it were alive, tells us the story of the creation, with every detail, of the many masterpieces left by the most important Italian designer of the 20th century
