A master of the 20th century
Nervi had three “lives”: the first, in which he is a skilful modeller of reinforced concrete structures, ended when Fascism forbad the use of this material; in the second, as a response to that prohibition, he invented a new way of building, the “Nervi System”, with which he created his most famous post-war masterpieces.
In the third, already extremely famous, he designed projects all over the world, becoming an ambassador of Made in Italy.
